The Objective
To solve a critical economic and legal bottleneck for micro-breweries who could not afford high-volume, professionally printed keg labels for small 10-30 keg batches.
System Complexity
Engineering an 8.5"x14" heavy cardstock sheet that achieved two contradictory goals: functioning smoothly through standard consumer laser printers while surviving extreme industrial conditions (keg condensation and refrigeration). Required extensive material prototyping with aqueous coatings and die-cut tolerances.
The Impact
Invented an entirely new market category, manufacturing and selling ~50,000 units across North America and enabling hundreds of craft breweries to achieve legal compliance and brand presence.
